What qualifies as urban mountain biking?

Urban Mountain Biking -- refers to any from of mountain bike, BMX or cyclocross trails, parks or courses that are located on lands that fit one of the three following criteria:
  1. On a property, public or private, that is within the municipal boundary of village, town or city  that is available for all residents
  2. On a property that is owned by a municipal governmental entity that in full or in part  allows nature based or recreational activities on its lands
  3. On a property that is managed in whole or in part by a municipal parks or recreational  entity 
Many of the locations on the map below meet 2 or 3 of the above criteria.
​Above is a map of existing urban mountain biking trail systems in the United States of America.  New trail systems are being added all the time, so check back often.
